Have been revisiting
some movies since last few weeks and happened to watch Hasee to Phasee again.
This movie has always been close to my heart for the way it depicted
father-daughter relationship. And now after this second outing it has grown
over me manifolds. Those scenes between Parineeti and Manoj Joshi leaves me
moist-eyed. I really commend the acting and writing in those scenes. He is the
most perfect dad who still dotes her little one in spite of her giving so much
grief all these years. Even after 7 years, the emotional bonding has not waned.
But in fact has grown even stronger.
Apart from those
strong emotional moments, I love this film for Parineeti's acting. Her acting
hasn’t been fully tapped yet. She is a powerhouse. Given right roles, I am sure
she can stand as tall as Deepika and Alia. Coming to music, I am absolutely in love
with Zehnaseeb. One of my all time favs. Such a beautiful tune and is so
brilliantly rendered. Manchala isnt far behind.
The script has its
share of shortfalls. Some of the characters werent fully defined. 2 of Manoj's
daughters had fleeting appearances with very rare mention of them. They could
have done away with those 2 daughters. Similarly some of the characters on Siddharth's
side of family werent introduced/used well.
